Note: Be sure to check serpentine belt and tensioner; replace as necessary.
During the install of the Fan Clutch
Adapter, please check your water
pump pulley for a "glaze" that may
have formed over time.
With the engine off, you may want to
"scuff" up the water pump pulley prior
to installation of the fan clutch adapter,
as this can help to prevent slippage and
squealing under heavy fan demand
conditions.
Using a heavy grit sandpaper, emery
cloth, or sanding disc, use moderate
force to scuff up the pulley in the
area where the belt rides.
