Description

This is the perfect fit for 2017 - 2024 Super Duty

When you are in the Baja as much as Neal Technologies, you know that having great communications means having a great antenna. Mounting that antenna has always been a choice between a temporary magnetic base mount or the dreaded drilling a large hole in the top of your truck. We knew that there had to be a better way and not only did we find it, we patented it too!

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount is simple to install and can be done with a minimal amount of tools. Of course we provide installation instructions (see link above) to make installation as easy as possible.

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount features a lot of great benefits:

Save your Roof allows for an effective and simple way to attach an antenna at the back of the cab of your truck - without drilling a hole!

High-mount Location is the optimal location for maximum antenna effectiveness.

Weather-tight Seal gasket on the back-side of the mounting flange creates a weather-tight seal against the cab.

15-foot RG-58 A/U Co-axial Cable that is easy to run inside the cab above the head liner and then routed to various locations for your radio install.

Industry Standard Connectors with an NMO-style antenna base that is connected to fifteen feet of co-axial cable terminated with a PL-259 male UHF connector that works with a wide-range of popular radios on the market.

Do you need a different length cable (standard is 15 feet)? Please give us a call and we can assist you with your specific needs!

Stellar piece of engineering

I have zero gripes with this product. It's perfect. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is I think there needs to be better documentation illustrating the instructions. The screws need individual illustration renderings in the instructions to clearly identify, for example, what is a pan-head screw; also with the brace, which orientation is required. I spent 10 minutes figuring out the orientation of that brace. A better installation video should be produced.
I'm an "all thumbs" guy, meaning I'm not very mechanically inclined and I did this in about one hour and ten minutes. It only took me so long because I am aware of my all-thumbs status and was intent on being extremely careful. My SWR is 1.2 on 2m and 1.4 on 70cm on a Comet SS-680SBNMO 28" antenna. Works great. Also, I would like to ask for the ability to swap out to a more premium coax, such as LMR 240 UFX. The loss would be cut by a very appreciable amount. de AA5AZ!

Great solution to keep from drilling a large hole!

People may complain about the high price and I as well would liked to have gotten it cheaper. Keep in mind here in some cases we are dealing with brand new trucks and with aluminum roofs so a mag mount base in not an option. However that was a small price to pay compared to repairing holes in a roof of a truck when its time to sell. Not to mention the deprecation value it just added when you make that hole in the roof. Everyone dont need an antenna so the next guy that buys your truck may not like that hole in the roof as much as you. Not to mention what it would cost if when you drill the hole in the roof and have a slip up with the hole saw or broken drill bit that slides away and gouges the painted surface. So to the ones that complain about the high cost in the beginning, look on to what it could cost you in the long run on repairs. As far as the performance it works like it should and is very stylish. I love it David, KC4SOT
