Description

This is the perfect fit for 2017 - 2025 Super Duty

When you are in the Baja as much as Neal Technologies, you know that having great communications means having a great antenna. Mounting that antenna has always been a choice between a temporary magnetic base mount or the dreaded drilling a large hole in the top of your truck. We knew that there had to be a better way and not only did we find it, we patented it too!

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount is simple to install and can be done with a minimal amount of tools. Of course, we provide installation instructions (see link above) to make installation as easy as possible.

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount features a lot of great benefits:

Save your Roof allows for an effective and simple way to attach an antenna at the back of the cab of your truck - without drilling a hole!

High-mount Location is the optimal location for maximum antenna effectiveness.

Weather-tight Seal gasket on the back-side of the mounting flange creates a weather-tight seal against the cab.

15-foot RG-58 A/U Co-axial Cable that is easy to run inside the cab above the head liner and then routed to various locations for your radio install.

Industry Standard Connectors with an NMO-style antenna base that is connected to fifteen feet of co-axial cable terminated with a PL-259 male UHF connector that works with a wide-range of popular radios on the market.

Do you need a different length cable (standard is 15 feet)? Please give us a call and we can assist you with your specific needs!

I wish I could give 5 stars really like this antenna mount but for the price I expected better

I wish I could give 5 stars because I really like this antenna mount but for the price I expected better. First, the threads of the two screws for support bracket did not match the threads tapped in the bracket holes they are supposed to screw into. Second, the screws that go through the light lens were too long and could not be tightened down flush. So a trip to the hardware store was required to complete the installation.

3rd brake light looks and feels great

3rd brake light looks and feels great. Install was only about 15 minutes.
The hardware provided was a little soft and didn’t take much to round off. It wasn’t a big deal for me as a Mechanic I had the right harware to finish the job and didn’t delay me any. I’d Recommend using Security torxs screws to secure the investment a little better

Stellar piece of engineering

I have zero gripes with this product. It's perfect. The only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is I think there needs to be better documentation illustrating the instructions. The screws need individual illustration renderings in the instructions to clearly identify, for example, what is a pan-head screw; also with the brace, which orientation is required. I spent 10 minutes figuring out the orientation of that brace. A better installation video should be produced.
I'm an "all thumbs" guy, meaning I'm not very mechanically inclined and I did this in about one hour and ten minutes. It only took me so long because I am aware of my all-thumbs status and was intent on being extremely careful. My SWR is 1.2 on 2m and 1.4 on 70cm on a Comet SS-680SBNMO 28" antenna. Works great. Also, I would like to ask for the ability to swap out to a more premium coax, such as LMR 240 UFX. The loss would be cut by a very appreciable amount. de AA5AZ!
