Description

This is the perfect fit for 2017 - 2024 Super Duty

When you are in the Baja as much as Neal Technologies, you know that having great communications means having a great antenna. Mounting that antenna has always been a choice between a temporary magnetic base mount or the dreaded drilling a large hole in the top of your truck. We knew that there had to be a better way and not only did we find it, we patented it too!

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount is simple to install and can be done with a minimal amount of tools. Of course we provide installation instructions (see link above) to make installation as easy as possible.

The Third Brake Light Antenna Mount features a lot of great benefits:

Save your Roof allows for an effective and simple way to attach an antenna at the back of the cab of your truck - without drilling a hole!

High-mount Location is the optimal location for maximum antenna effectiveness.

Weather-tight Seal gasket on the back-side of the mounting flange creates a weather-tight seal against the cab.

15-foot Co-axial Cable that is easy to run inside the cab above the head liner and then routed to various locations for your radio install.

Industry Standard Connectors with an NMO-style antenna base that is connected to fifteen feet of co-axial cable terminated with a PL-259 male UHF connector that works with a wide-range of popular radios on the market.

Do you need a different length cable (standard is 15 feet)? Please give us a call and we can assist you with your specific needs!

Great solution to keep from drilling a large hole!

People may complain about the high price and I as well would liked to have gotten it cheaper. Keep in mind here in some cases we are dealing with brand new trucks and with aluminum roofs so a mag mount base in not an option. However that was a small price to pay compared to repairing holes in a roof of a truck when its time to sell. Not to mention the deprecation value it just added when you make that hole in the roof. Everyone dont need an antenna so the next guy that buys your truck may not like that hole in the roof as much as you. Not to mention what it would cost if when you drill the hole in the roof and have a slip up with the hole saw or broken drill bit that slides away and gouges the painted surface. So to the ones that complain about the high cost in the beginning, look on to what it could cost you in the long run on repairs. As far as the performance it works like it should and is very stylish. I love it David, KC4SOT

Just a little short

The cable was about a foot short for me. I mounted my radio under steering column. I ran cable to back door corner and down under floor mat at doorstep.

Need Better Quality Control

Everything fit as it should but, as I was installing the last set of screws, the hex head on one of the 10-24 screws stripped. I had to use an easy-out to remove the screw. I tried driving the other screw into the same hole and the head on that screw also started to strip. I removed the light assembly and tried driving the screw into the threaded hole and again it started binding. Fortunately I have a tap and die set, so I ran a 10-24 tap through the hole and had pieces of metal debris come out when I removed it. I ran the tap through the other threaded holes and had debris come out of the other holes also. I suspect the holes weren’t cleaned out after they were initially tapped. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy more screws in order to put it together.
Also, the manual was pretty confusing until I figured out that the second page was printed on page five. The order of the pages was 1, 3, 4, 5, 2 and 6.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback to us. We take quality control very seriously and for sure this one slipped through the cracks. In immediate response to this feedback, we pulled the installtion instructions for review and indeed found there to be printing errors in the manuals from our vendor. We have since replaced all of the manuals and will periodically inspect the manuals as they are delivered to our facility. In additon, we have validated the machine program used to create the threaded holes in this antenna mount and implemented process improvement policies for the debur process. You have our apologies for letting you down and again thank you for bringing this to our anttention.
