NMO Antenna Rain Cap

These plastic caps are easy to put on and take off (think "antenna too tall for the truck wash!") and look nice with my black-trimmed truck.

It does fit nice as the other reviews mention, but it takes extreme care and caution to not cross-thread on the first couple of installs. The caps I received had some rough, almost undercut, threads in the plastic. It took no less than a dozen attempts with a light touch to ensure I was not cross-threading the cap to the mount. Once the threads were engaged correctly, it took a couple of runs on each of the studs to clean the cap's threads a bit. The little recesses in the brass threads actually accumulated some plastic shavings out of the threads. Once that happened, mating the threads got a bit easier. As long as you don't power the caps on the actual mount's threads, you should be fine and happy with keeping these caps handy.

The cap fits and looks good. I have it in my glove box in the event I need it.

Very pleased with this cap, fits perfectly.
