Description

Engine Oil Bypass Filtration kit that works with all F-Series Ford 6.0L Diesel trucks. Bypass filtration provides a second oil filter to your truck. While the primary filter does most of the filtration of all your oil, this bypass oil filter kit filters your oil much deeper than the primary filter, allowing you to capture and trap the finer bits of debris within your oil.

The Amsoil bypass filter has an absolute rating down to 2 microns! That means that small, finer particles that can easily slip through the primary filter are now caught and trapped within the bypass filter.

These kits fit 6.0L diesel Ford Excursions (2003 - 2004) and F-Series Trucks (2003-2004).

Connecting the bypass filtration to your truck is easy. You can see how it is done in the documents and diagrams referenced above.

Bypass oil filter, amsoil oil filter

Kit comes with everything needed and, like the remote oil cooler, with quality parts. Installed at the same time with remote oil cooler, which made installation fairly simple. Only have about 100 miles and installed more for peace of mind than any other reason, although at 2 microns it should filter out most of the soot in the system (flows a lot more oil than I thought it would, primed system with cap off, made a mess, lol). Hopefully this truck will now run until diesels are banned!
