Description
A mechanical fan clutch and fan clutch adapter allows you to install a non-electrical fan clutch on the Ford 6.0L diesel!
This combination of Hayden mechanical fan clutch and BulletProof fan adapter allow you to use a 6.0L fan blade assembly with a mechanical/thermal fan clutch. This combination works very well for those that require heavy duty cooling needs.
Please note - that installation of a mechanical fan clutch does NOT set a check engine light. It will set a "soft code" (the code is stored in the computer) but no check engine light will be turned on.

Always had issues with the stock fan clutch not engaging , even after replacing with new Motorcraft clutch, the engine coolant temps at times spike as high as 230+ in hot weather. After installation of the BPD clutch kit with a 185 degree thermostat, truck now runs constantly 180 to 190 degrees in the Texas heat, no heat spikes. Even pulling a trailer temps never went above 196.
Best upgrade for keeping your truck running cool.
What a difference. A little loud but 100% worth it!
Just like the radiator and water pump ive already purchased and installed from bulletproof diesel, the fan clutch kit works amazing. Ordering from there is easy as well. So rare to find competent people who answer the phones in parts dept. but you can count on them to get your order right!
My original electronic clutch went out at 195k. I was seeing coolant temps as high as 206 unloaded on a 80 degree day. Installed easily and now coolant temps stay at 192-194. There is more noise at take off but it is not bothersome. Great upgrade for these trucks!
had the fan blade shear through the fan cluth control wires on my 2005 Ford e350 6.0, know previous owner had fixed the same issue before. decided to junk the electronic controlled fan and go with mechanical, was warned it would be loud, but decided loud was better than something getting sheared again. . . its been great, and with the sound deadening in my van, I really only hear it (and not that loudly, at low speed with the windows down.
