Aluminum Tank, Aluminum Core Radiator, 2005-2007, Ford 6.0L F-Series

After my stock radiator failed I put in a different all aluminum radiator and constantly fought with heat while towing. So I decided to spend the money on this radiator and I am very impressed with it. If you tow and have to pull mountain passes, don't waste your time and money on a cheap radiator just to have to pull it out and put in a good one. Buy once, cry once. This one costs more but is the only aftermarket radiator that can cool as well as OEM, but has aluminum tanks so you can stop worrying about blowing out the stock plastic ones.

Everyone knows that eventually the plastic reservoirs on the OEM Ford radiator for the 6.0 Powerstroke start to leak. At 20 years old, I wasn't surprised to find mine leaking midway through a long trip. A little JB Weld patched it up enought to complete my trip with just a few extra stops to check coolant levels, but it was obviously time for a new radiator.

I did my research, avoided Mishimoto and found that Bullet Proof Diesel sells the excellent all-aluminum replacement for the OEM unit at a very good price.

The radiator arrived quickly, well packaged (double boxed with foam) and undamaged. The only bent fins were ones that I bet during installation. Doh!
Dropped right in and works just like the OEM radiator.

While I had the radiator out, I also replaced the water pump with a BPD billet one and the fan clutch with the Extreme Duty (aka Snow Plow) clutch. Now I run 188 ECT 204 EOT driving unloaded and 208 ECT 215 EOT towing 8000 pounds. I'm thrilled! I highly recommend these upgrades when the time comes to replace your OEM units.

I have been a Bullet Proof Diesel customer for several years. I appreciate the quality of their products and the easy access to expertise when I need advice or assitance. The radiator is not manufactured by them, but is made by a VERY reputable company, and they sell it for the same price everyone else does. They have been selling this radiator for a long time and have lots of positive feedback on it.

It wasn't perfect for the money! It does the job. Radiator had a couple little tweeks in it. Bulletproof didn't ship the tool to remove transmission lines !!

While I haven't installed the radiator yet, I can say I was very impressed with how well the item was packaged for shipping. Well done Bullet Proof.
